Winter Activities
It starts as a chilly, overcast morning, the kind where you curl up with a blanket on the couch and slowly sip a hot cup of coffee. The rest of your day has been decided for you; it’s way too cold to go outside. But wait a minute! After your 4th Hallmark movie and 3rd cup of Joe, you realize the sun is peering in through your window – The grey of the day has slowly turned into sunshine and warmth!
Days like this remind us of how lucky we are to live in “The Sunshine State.” It is easy to get lazy and gloomy on cold, grey days, and we are fortunate that ours are few and far between. Many of our residents are from up North, and they don’t take these sunny afternoons for granted.
Even before the sun fully broke through the clouds today, a group of residents was already out at the bocce ball courts enjoying the Florida Winter with a rousing game of “Italian Lawn Bowling.” The community that “plays together, stays together,” and that is just what our Four Lakes residents love to do! There are friendly faces to play with all year round!
We offer so many different activities, both indoors and out. Everything from Line Dancing, Tennis, Zumba, Bunko, Mah Jongg, Poker, Shuffleboard and so much more! Recently, a hilarious game of “Deal or No Deal” was held up in the Great Room with a grand prize of $500! You will never have to worry about feeling confined to the couch again.
