FALL in love with Four Lakes
It’s that time of year that makes you think of pumpkin spice and everything nice; Social gatherings, cool weather, extra bright blue skies and truly golden sunshine! In Florida, it’s been a longstanding joke that we really only have one season—Summer. Although it may feel that way sometimes, we do enjoy a period of time where temperatures dip to the 50’s – They tend to go back up to the 70’s in the afternoon but we love that too! We may not have the vibrant foliage but we definitely have all the fun activities and cozy feelings that come along with this beautiful time of year!
Here at Four Lakes Golf Club, we don’t miss a beat when it comes to fall festivities. Within the comfort of our own gated community, we have all the autumn action you could hope for! Our community proudly employs a professional Activities Director who carefully coordinates and plans events making sure there is always something to do with your friends and neighbors. Attend the annual Halloween Party in the Great Room, or watch as golf carts line La Quinta Boulevard to take part in the “Pet Parade”! Yes, you read that correctly, we have an adorable display of Four Lakes’ smallest (and furriest) residents all dressed up in their Halloween costumes! Cute!
Driving through the streets of downtown Winter Haven, you’re sure to find one of the many pumpkin patches at local churches and small businesses allowing for picture opportunities on huge bales of hay and a scarecrow or two. Try sampling some local food trucks and crafted ciders or head over to the “Fall Festival of Fun” for a free event featuring refreshments, music, games and crafts! There is always something to do in this active city.
Outside of Winter Haven is a cornucopia of events and happenings! Just 40 minutes away from your home is one of my all-time favorites; Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival! Taste your way around the world with special food and beverage selections from each country. Want something a bit spookier? Busch Gardens in Tampa hosts its infamous Howl-O-Scream! Midnight roller coaster rides and lots of thrilling haunted houses are the main attractions in this stimulating theme park experience.
Here in Four Lakes Golf Club we really do have the best there is to offer! One weekend you could be bundled up in a sweater next to a crackling fire and the next you’re off to have a picnic on the beach to soak up some sun! We hope to see you this season.
